Gah, why do there have to be 5 weeks in May? I am SO TIRED of taking daily pictures, and I think it really shows this week. Sorry in advance!
5/18, Saturday
Tshirt: Megan Nielsen Briar top
Shorts: Sewaholic Thurlow
Shoes: Keds
Necklace: Made by meeee
Sunglasses: Pangea
Ok, so that morning I was supposed to bike the Tour de Nash, but my friend and I decided we were too tired so we ended up eating a bunch of food, shopping, and riding around Centennial Park – a MUCH better way to spend the day, I’d say! I am standing in front of the Parthenon – yep, Nashville has a full-scale replica of that thing right in the middle of the park. It even has a statue of Athena inside, lol. I LOVE THE PARTHENON.
5/19, Sunday
Tshirt: Sewaholic Renfrew
Shorts: Sewaholic Thurlows
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Born
This picture was taken in Opryland Hotel (yes, I am INSIDE, not outside! Shitload of plants in there, haha). Opryland hotel is so weird.
5/20, Monday
Top: Pavlova Wrap top
Skirt: Thrifted, reconstructed by me
Shoes: Born
Belt: Thrifted
At my Monday evening knitting night! Also, the past few pictures have been rill terrible bc I had a friend visiting from out of town, and I didn’t want to be THAT PERSON who spends 20 minutes every morning taking pictures of herself, y’know? We had better things to do, like ride bikes and drink shitty beer.
5/21, Tuesday
Dress: Vogue 1227
Cardigan: Thrifted
Necklace: Antique
Belt: Flea Market
Shoes: Franco Sarto
MAH BIRTHDAY. I wore my birthday dress because, yes.
5/22, Wednesday
Dress: the Gazer (a Hazel/Ginger mashup)
Cardigan: Thrifted
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
I love this dress, although the fit could be better. For some reason, I cut the gingham on the bias but did not give the underlining the same treatment, so the skirt does kind of weird things. Oh well!
5/23, Thursday
Dress: Colette Chantilly
Sweater: Chuck by Andi Satterlund
Belt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Thrifted
A wool sweater in May!?! Wtf!!
5/24, Friday
Dress: Advance 8295
Cardigan: Miette by Andi Satterlund
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Born
It’s still a little cold for this dress (the high today is 70*F and YES THAT IS COLD TO ME), but whatever. It’s Friday! Wheeee!!
I haven’t had any new revelations since last week, except that I have pulled a few more dresses from my closet that don’t fit. I think I will end up trying to unload them via Etsy, just not right now as I don’t have the time!! Soon, though. May is almost over 😉
Hope y’all have a great weekend!! I am gearing up to go on vacation starting at the buttcrack of dawn tomorrow morning… we are driving to Florida for a few days on Santa Rosa Beach, yay! On that same note, the whole “not repeating outfits” this month means I’ve been hoarding some of my favorite Me-Mades to wear while I’m on vacation (I’m looking at you, Lonsdale dress). Either way, CAN’T FUCKING WAIT. Ha!
This blog will be quiet for the next week, but I’ll be back on Friday with my final MMM’13 round-up. In the meantime, you can find me on Instagram or Twitter if you’re feeling withdrawals (we can get through this together, y’all).
BYEEEEE ♥
I’m so happy to still see Advance 8295 in the rotation…gah, that dress is soooo cute. I LOVE that yoked style, I have a few Etsy favorites that are similar.
Have fun on your beach vacay! I plan to spend the ENTIRE long weekend sewing. 🙂
Have a fun vacation! These outfits are wonderful. This is the coolest month of my entire life, which has always been in TN.
Yellow cardigan with Vogue dress 1227 is my fave….enjoy your holiday! 🙂 http://www.design-closeup.com/
You look so comfortable in your me-mades! Your birthday dress is so beautiful – deserving of the occasion. Have a fantastic vacation!
I love your all those outfits. I really like those shorts they look super cute, super comfy, and super easy to make. the perfect weekend project. Happy Birthday, I hope it was awesome. Have fun at the beach, how fun!

Happy birthday! Meant to say on your birthday, and forgot. Sorry! Anyway, you looked supernice, I hope you had a nice day too! And as for wool jumpers in May: Today I wore long jeans, ankle boots, a vest, a long-sleeve top, a woolen cardi and then my Minoru (interlined) – hello, May in London. Tell your brother to pack a few jumpers 😉 I’m so jealous of you gallivanting around in shorts and dresses, but I still hope you have supernice beach time 🙂
Your birthday dress is so cute! Have a good vacation!
All your outfits are fabulous but I especially love that last blue and yellow one, and those shoes. So gorgeous!
Cute sunglasses! I think this every time I see a picture of you in any of your versions but I DEFINITELY need me some Thurlow shorts, going to buy the pattern right now. Have a lovely holiday!
I think your photos are just fine…and your outfits are adorable as always! Enjoy your holiday!
Gah you’re so cute with your bike. I bought my bike with that exact image in mind for cycling around the city but alas the weather in Ireland is so bad I tend not to use it as much as I’d like. So many favourites this week. Love your Chantilly with the Chuck sweater, Advance 2895 is such a lovely dress with your Miette and of course the red Briar top!
Enjoy your beach trip! I’m just up the road from SRB, in Santa Rosa county proper, and it is nice and dry and hot and sunny (great for, for instance, for riding bikes and drinking shitty beer). And the roads are packed with Snowbirds doing the Mem-Day thing in all life’s glorious pageantry. But, whatever.
Le sigh. Your me-mades look like real clothes and mine look ever so Becky Home-Ec-ky. Keep up the inspiring work! And that 70 degrees sounds pretty good to me…maybe I need to look for work in Nashville.
I don’t think your me-mades look Becky Home-Ec-Ky at all! However, I DO think you should look for work in Nashville 😉 DO IT DO IT 🙂
hey lauren! I don’t cycle, but I saw one of these in person and it was nothing short of totally amazing:
the one I saw by the way was neon blue, it was so beautiful and I saw them go down a pitch black street behind this park I live by. don’t know if you do much night riding, but this stuff is incredible! though your bike is already a beautiful color..
UMMMM that is amazing!! Maybe I should repaint my bike, the spraypaint is chipping pretty bad as it is 😉
Wish i had known of the MMM earlier i would definitely take place. Love your dresses 🙂

I love the different photos at the start of the week. As much as I love your garden and sewing room shots, it’s interesting to see other parts of your life. I am aware this makes me really nosey but I’m OK with that.
Love your birthday dress, and happy birthday!
Naw, I don’t think that’s nosey at all – I’m the same way 🙂 I love lurking people’s lives 🙂 I generally take my pictures by myself, with a tripod and a timer on the camera, which is why the shots are aaaalways in the same place – I feel like such a DORK dragging that shit around in public! Haha! I think you’ll like the next ’round of MMM/week 5, though, since almost all the shots were taken by someone else 😉
The Advance dress is so gorgeous! I had thought about starting a blog in time for MMM but then I noticed i’d have to take daily pictures… so I didn’t take part… man I am lazy.
So much gorgeous! So much envy!
