new(old) sewing patterns!

my birthday isn’t for another month (::ahem::) but my roommate/best friend/life partner, morgan, already gave me my gift because she is awesome 🙂 – she went to an estate sale & bought me a big ol’ stack of vintage sewing patterns! yay sewing patterns!!

love those shorts!! the only bummer about this one is that i was actually at the flea market last month and i found the perfect zipper for this pattern – super long, with a big tacky zipper pull & the zipper tape was white with red & blue stars. of course i didn’t buy it because i figured i’d never use a crazy zipper like that. ugh this is why i should stop pretending like i’m not a hoarder.
anyway, i want a blue stripey pair, please.

it’s hard to pick a favorite, but i think this one might take home the trophy. LOOK AT HOW AWESOME THIS PATTERN IS. i can’t pick a favorite view, so clearly i need to make every single view. wouldn’t it be totally presh in some big check blue gingham? especially since i bought a giant piece of gingham last month? thought so.

this one reminds me of a less-fussy version of the parfait. i love the buttons & the side pockets – and the useless back pockets! well, maybe not “useless” – that girl seems to really enjoy stashing her hand in there.
